Help, $40 for heater release inserts???? Should be $5??
I am replacing the heater core in my 2003 F250 6.0. The dealer wants $40 for the quick release insert kit which includes the O-rings. I read in one of the posts on this site that someone paid $5 for the kit. Also the dealer showed me the kit which had two plastic quick release inserts, two white plastic rings and a bunch of o_rings. He said the price was $19.00 each and because there was 2 of each item in the bag he wanted to charge $40 rather than $19 for the kit. Does this sound correct??

Another dealer same BS, only cheaper
Called another dealer, same BS "two sets in bag so double the price" only total cost is $27 instead of $40. I will try more dealers. Where could I get this part on line?
