Got a 89 F-250 XLT Lariat that some 'tard tried to steal. They took a pair of channel locks and twisted the paddles off of the ignition switch breaking everything internally. The switch held and they gave up but all of the guts are twisted and broken.
The pin in the hole trick isn't working to release the tumbler assembly. Anyone have any ideas on how to get the dern thing out? Drill it? Jackhammer? Stick of dynamite? JDAM?
Damn that sucks. It needs to be in the "ON" position to be removed, and I doubt you can still fit a key in there from the way it sounds. Have you tried the key yet? Shake the wheel while trying and hopefully you can get it to move.
Forgot to mention that the cornholios tried a screwdriver too... Key won't go into the slot now. They made a GIANT mess out of it. If only the little *******s knew how easy it is to steal (!)
They blew out the drivers side window with a pellet gun and knicked the windshield in the process.
