half charge on the batteries will not cut it. you need the batteries to be fully charged, or they will not supply enough power to run both the glow plugs and the starter.

well i got under the truck to test if the lines to the starter where the problem...
did you know that the wires that lead to the starter can cut a brake line in half?
Had to coat the wires with electrical tape as a temporary fix to see if this was the problem, jumped it... no start (same just one click)
also tested it with jumper cables to the solenoid.. no work
so I take it this mean that I need a new solenoid and or starter?

I'd say to pull the starter, take it to a parts store and have it tested. The solenoid is $40, the whole starter is from $125-200. Actually, I just noticed advance auto parts carries the Powermaster starter for these trucks for $219 although it only has a one year warranty.

What condition are the battery cables and battery connections in?

The passenger side positive terminal has three wires that join together in the clamp.
If the insulation on the cables close to the clamp look like the cables have been hot, I am going to bet that corrosion inside the clamp is not letting electricity flow to the cable.

You say you have 3 batteries, so you are talking 2700 amps or so, yes it will cut a brake line and even burn a chunk out of the frame if it gets grounded.

I found the problem it’s the starter solenoid
So this should have only cost 40 bucks…
But the starter that my truck was blessed with was not the mitsubishi one but some kind of ne delco or something and the solenoid is not replaceable so I had to spend 200 bucks and its coming in at 8 30 tomorrow.

i think they fed ya full of crap.i just went through this today.does the solenoid have 2 screws holding it on?if so then its replaceable is the solenoid loose on the starter?mine was and i tightened the screws and it fired right up

This should be the AC Delco starter.

its not ac delco its denso (Nippondenso) sorry about the miss spelling earlier

no they didn't feed me crap i bought the solenoid first and tried to install it and then i figured out that i had a different starter then they gave me the solenoid for and none of the places in town have a denso solenoid parts (inside was F*&#ed any way) so i had to oreder a new one.
