Newbie needs help

Hello Forum members.
I recently purchased a used '05 F250 King Ranch 6.0 . During a hard rain I now have a H2O leak very near/and behind the E brake pedal. It seems to drip 6 inches above the flat part of floor. this is all under the A pillar.
Are there drains or a vent that may be clogged? If so how to access? Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thank You,
Brian

Gee Brian, I've never heard of a leak there.

When you open your door, do the seals between the door and body look ok/intact? I'm not aware of any drains in that area.

Hang in there, one of the guys should pipe up shortly.

Joe

No, no draining in that area. I would pull the plastic cover of the a pillar and look for a windshield leak. Have a flashlight at the ready and also look for streaking in the dust on the underside of the plastic cover. You could also run a water hose on the top of the windshield around the rubber gasket. If you have a leak there, take it in to a glass shop and they will properly clean and seal, or worst case replace the windshield.

There are a few plugs on the fire wall above that area that you can also check, but there should be no way of it leaking there. I live in the north coast and it seems we get rain 360 days of the year and I have no leaks. Needless to say, I do have to find them on customer cars after we replace the windshield and they suspect a leak, only for me to find them in other areas. So far I have 100% on finding the leaks, just look for the tell tale signs of streaking stains, even after being dry.
