water line by-pass

Ok that water line that runs through the Throttle Body. I am going to by pass it, do I need to hook it back up from the radiator to the heater hose nipple, or can I just buy another nipple that goes on the intake and just block off where it goes into the ridiator

You can either run a hose between the two or you can block off each fitting. I opted to block off each one, but had a tough time finding something that would last. The neoprene nipples that fit over the ends crack and dry out really fast, the last ones I put on were designed for use with the cooling system but they were leaking less than 2 months after I put them on. I ended up going with heater hose with a bolt and a clamp to cap them off. No leaks yet.

Was there really any benefit. I have something heating the fuel charge or something causing my clattering, detonation, spark knock, what ever you wanna call it. I have been through E V E R Y T H I N G else. I just spen all day Sunday trying to see if I might have a vacuum leak causing it lean out but I could not find a thing. I do notice the temp gauge will rise when I accelerate hard but when I level it off, it goes back down. My thinking is the water running through there might be heating the fuel charge and causing it.

The only benefit is there are two less places to have a coolant leak. If you are tracking down a detonation problem then this isn't going to fix it, that I can promise you.

When you say you've been through everything else, can you elaborate? Or is there a thread that I missed?
