knock,knock, KNOCK! d * mmit......
so the 93 f350 crewcab 4x4 ( aka the hillbilly limousine ) has had a persistant knock from the #1 cylinder since we bought it. finally broke down, changed all 8 injectors to new in box delphi 'g' code, and redid all the leak off lines / t fittings / hoses / etc... so now she starts on a dime ( no more long cranking to purge the air outta the system ) but it still knocks ! d*mmit, must be a piston pin or a rod bearing going out. man, i thought the injectors would cure it. oh well, lifes like a d*ck- when its soft ya cant beat it ,but when its hard ya get *****ed ! i guess im just gonna drive her as is till something grenades- if i gotta pull the motor to rebuild / replace then i might as well get all the free miles outta the bad one first before i pull it . i also cut the first 10 inches off the stockland camper to make my own 'fastback' cab fairing- looks pretty sharp and gives me the perfect place to mount the tow strobes ( we are converting over to a tow truck to replace our 92 regular cab gas 351w f350 2wd ) oh yeah, even with the knocking, she got some POWER when that banks starts whistling.......

supposedly had 48000, the dude i bought the truck from said the stock motor started knocking, so he went to a junkyard and got this one. upon pulling the stock one out, it had a cracked flexplate ( that was probably the knock on that one ) but he figured hey, the stockers got 249000, the junkyards got 48000, im gonna swap it anyway since its out. well, the new one knocks even worse! so he decided to sell it, thats were i came in and bought it all for $1500.00 ( the truck, spare motor,extra tires and rims, etc...) so even with the knock i still say it was a smokin deal- 1993 crewcab f350 4x4, ac works,body damn near perfect,d60 front and 10.25 rear, runs and drives, legit title! i thought maybe the knock was a bad injector, but i just swapped all 8 for new delphi code 'g' replacements....and it still knocks.
