I found Lucy the F250 parked in a Dairy Farm Milking Barn in Riceville, TN (for those of you not from East TN, Riceville is hidden in the fog of Bowater........or that place that really, really stinks while driving on I-75 to Chattanooga!).
I purchased her from the orginal owner, who had bought her in May 1955 at Drake Motors in Appalachia, VA on his 16th birthday! I've got the original window sticker, the bill of sale, and the loan papers from the Bank of Madisonville.
She's got a 239 V8 Y-Block, heavy-duty 3-spd manual transmission, and 5-Star Trim interior. All original survivor with only 54,000 miles.
The pics are how the truck looked on the day I got 'er, and I haven't done much to change the originality. I did have to change the master cylinder and all 4 wheel cylinders........cause once She got rollin', She didn't wanna stop..... I also found an old rear bumper at the Knoxville Supernationals Swap Meet, and I purdied-up the rear lights a little (see pic). $$$$$ I'm currently having the radio reconditioned $$$$$....that'll empty your pockets!!
Well I've kinda figure out how to post a pic on this thread of my family's current & recent rides; but you'll have to click on the above feature to see them.
That's the best i can do for now. Have recently sold the wifes toy; she wants a truck instead; once I finish my current & future projects i'll get started on her's..

This is my 72 f100 4x4. This is before I cleaned it up. I can't wait to get started on this truck. I traded an 87 ranger 4x4 for it and I don't think I done bad at all.
That's original. I've never seen one like that. wish they hadn't went out of buisness. Would like to have seen something like that for my girlfriends f250. Except barrel racing. I like the walkers myself. Not showing but riding. They're caddy's.
