Lose power while driving
Hi- Thanks in advance for your help on this matter. I have a 94 f150,5.0,2wd with an auto 4r70w tranny.
While I am driving on flat land or up a hill my truck loses power even though my foot has stayed stationary on the gas petal. If I floor the gas pedal it takes a few seconds and the truck starts to accelerate. If I shift the transmission from the column into a lower gear it takes off. I just replaced the epc solenoid thinking that was the problem and it did not solve it. I talked to some one else at the auto store and he said he had the same problem and that it was a temperature sensor for the transmission but couldn't tell me which one. Can anyone help with opinion on the problem. Also, the engine light comes on and than it cuts off after it performes the way it should.

Pull the codes. No sense pouring money into something without knowing the true cause. All it takes is a paperclip or a cheap code scanner: Ford Fuel Injection How To Run a Self-Test
