Plastic compound???
For you 70,71 and 72 owners. When the plastic insert on your grill is cracked, what did you use to repair it with? What can be sanded to look like there was no crack? What is the best stuff to use?

Aw yes these grille inserts do seem to have a cracking problem as they age..
I was able fix my with JB weld, I made a V groove on the back side and filled it with JB weld. It is pretty hard stuff to sand thou! It held for many yrs. Until I found a nice one at the bone yard..Just don't let it setup b4 you try to clean up any mess.. It worked for me..
