Howdy folks,I'm new to this board! The reason I got on here is a 2001 Supercrew 4x4 followed me home from my local Ford dealer last week! This goes along with the '91 F-150 4x4 and a '97 Ranger 4x2 (YEP 3 FORD PICKUPS) I live in Surry Co,1 mile from where Kevin use to go muddin" at Slade's Park.Live back a 1/2 mile on a dirt road, that's why 2 trucks are 4x4!I work in Norfolk at N.O.B. like to meet some of you IF WORK PERMITS,Keeping the Navy ready to kick OSAMA'S ***!!!!! HAPPY TRAILS Kalash47
From what my motorcycle coworkers tell me,NO a young kid was run over and killed, all tied up in a lawsuit or something .They haven't had any rules out there for years,so it was just a matter of time before something like this happend,it's a shame!I have all the 4x4 action I want coming home in a heavy rain/snow!!! HAPPY TRAILS Kalash!
could you find out if there is another place they go ???
my dad has a 7thousand dollar yamaha banshee and we have no place to ride it pkus we have 2 4x4's and we cant go in the mud..
Greywolf,I also live in Norfolk. You have probably seen many of my posts. I am retired USN and retired civil service. Now all I do is read FTE messages and baby my F-150 (see album). I live in Colonial Heights off Old Oceanview Rd.
Down here in Chesapeake, Deep Creek Area. Stationed on the CINCLANTFLT compound.

Think it be a great idea.WHO,WHAT, WHEN ,WHERE AND WE KNOW WHY Now that my wife has weekends off she can drive the Supercrew I'll drive the '91 F-150 XLT Kalash
Sounds like a good idea to me too. Only one problem. Truck is nowhere near roadworthy yet. Take a look in my gallery to see why!! Hopefully if all pans out right I will have her on the road by September.

I'm looking for anyone with a '61-63 F-100 (last run before twin I-beam) who will allow me to take some measurements. At last year's rod picnic in Suffolk I looked one over lightly, and it appeared the (stock) front axle had more drop than my '56. Would like to confirm that with a closer inspection of a representative truck or a takeout from someone's IFS conversion project. Object: poor man's drop swap.
Where in Chesapeak are you. I am in Deep Creek. Sorry I don't have a 61-63 but I would sure like to see your 56.

Russell,

'56 is down for maintenance. It came to me with 428/C6 combo which scoots just fine, but the truck needed attention in other departments.
First up was steering: it didn't want to. Installed Toyo 4x4 box and Ford pump. I didn't like leaning out of the seat to reach the stubby Mustang shifter, so I put in a long-neck unit.
Finished brakes this weekend: dual-chamber master cylinder on homebrewed bracket, new lines, slaves, shoes.
Might fire it up soon to circulate fluids and charge the battery, but it needs rewiring---looks like it was done by a commitee of blind men. Got the materials, trying to muster courage.
Got a 9"/3.25 ratio rear ready, but I'm holding off 'til a later date when the bed is off--- fresh out of enthusiasm for working belly-up in the driveway.
Drop me an email if you want help with the wiring. I just redid all my wiring in my 68.
