Seems to me there used to be some trails out around Sandy Spring, if anybody lives out that way, or near Columbia, and also Whites Ferry - how 'bout some feedback?
I was thinking that maybe YOU GUYS would know of some "legal" places to trail ride/muddin.....
Thanks

outside of quarryville, pa is an abandoned rail line, and just down from my house is an awsome mud pit. line is posted, but ive rode my 4 wheeler on it for years and havent seen any cops. trailis 23 miles long
I live right outside of Laurel, MD and a couple of people have told me about a place in Crofton off of rt. 3. They said it was legal. I have never been there but my friend who owned my truck before me said he has been there. He said it was pretty cool. If I can get some type of directions I'll post them on here. I know there's a huge place in laurel that you can see from 95 but thats illegal. I used to go riding there on my dirtbike.
There is a spot around Crofton that is now gated, and is used primarily by The Maryland Mudbugs. They usually go out most Sundays, and are a good group of people. Check out their site www.marylandmudbugs.com and email Flatfender Freak. He is the president of the club and will have good information for you.
Hello everyone. Everyone talks about about the trails in Marland. I was wondering were there was some of these trails near toddville. I am getting ready to move there in the summar. I am in the muding big. So if anyone wants to join and go please let me know. If no one wants to go. Give me an idea of were there are some trails. Thanks

Anyody else have any other places to go? I need to find a place bad before I just go on some construction site and get a ticket. Also like the other guy said check out the marylandmudboggers. It's a prety good site. The only problem I have is that I don't have all the equipment you need to go 4x4 with them, which kind of sucks.
There is a place off of pennington ave. The area is known as bloody pond. there are a few trails you can go on with trucks as well as a pretty big mud area. The area used to be an old city landfill. All the cops ever do is check the vin on the 4 wheelers and make sure people are riding safe. If you need more specific directions i'll post them for all to see
Directions from Laurel,
295 North to 695 towards the Key Bridge. Take the exit for Rt. 10.
Take the second exit you come to, I think it is Ordnance Rd. Follow Ordnance Rd. until you see an Amoco fuel terminal on your left. At the next light, turn left on Pennington Ave. Cross over the bridge and the railroad tracks. You will see a strip club on your left called "fantasies". As soon as you pass their parking lot, make a left turn. Go to the top of the hill, and turn left into the entrance, which is conviently paved so you can lock your hubs and such. Watch the big mud pit in the middle, it is decieving.
Thanks for the directions. I'll have to try that place out sometime. Is there anything else I should watch out for? Mudholes, ditches etc. Also is it an open place or do you have to go through trees and bushes and stuff like that. The only reason i'm asking is my friend has a 98 chevy Z71 and he wants to take offroad but he does not want to drive through branches and things that will scracth his paint. It dosen't matter to me about my truck I just would like someone else to go with me in case something happens. Thanks again Chris.
