What size and make electric radiator fans are you using in your 53-56's. I am getting my original rad recored and plan using the electric fan pull type, does it need to to cover all of the core to get sufficient cooling?
Thanks in advance for all your cool tips
John
I have a Spal straight blade fan on mine. Cools real well, with the AC on, even on our 105' days this summer.
The straight blade fan pulls about 300 CFM more air than the curved blade fan. The drawback is that is real noisy. Sound like a mini siren. Don't really notice it going down the road, but when you stop you can hear it. Outside the truck, it is pretty noisy. Don't get a Zirgo fan. I had one and it burned up and the housing melted. Found out after that it was a common problem with them. No problems with the Spal
Hey Panel, just food for thought. Those electric fans can draw up to 45 amps of current. Make sure your generator/altrnator is rated at at least 85 amps for an electric fan install!

Thanks Julie, I'll keep that in mind. I think the one I have pushes at least the much but will check to make sure, thanks
