4x4 conversion
I am Justin, I am new to the forum and trying to help a friend. He has 3 Ford Pickups. a better than new 86 F150 frame off resto, a 92 F150 straight 6 and a 94 F350 dully. He would like to convert his 94 F350 dully to 4x4. The F350 currently has coils and indipendent front suspension. He has all of the 4x4 parts off of a 89 F350 4X4 ( ZF, transfer case, springs, Dana 60, etc.) He has done 4x4 conversions in the past to F150's but since they had coils it was pretty easy. Has anyone done this conversion before? Should he go with leafs or coils? He also has a complete Dana 50 as well. I dont believe the truck as the "Ribed" ( crash) frame section in the front like the F150's do. Some fab and any welding is not a problem. We are looking for any advice to try to prevent as many problems as possible. Any advice would be grately appreciated.
Thanks,
Justin
