ball joint Q's
I think my bj's are bad, I can't afford the $900 quoted to me so i'm gonna do it myself.
I've got a 96 f250 4x4, is there some online walkthru's around?
I don't own any airtools, Can it be done without?
from searching around, is this what i want to be searching for at my local parts store/dealership to replace along with the bj's-
knuckle seal
dust seal
hub assembly seal
is there anything else i need?
Thanks alot!
Ryan
anyways, you will need a balljoint removal/instalation tool (which can be loaned at no cost from advance auto parts)
a big hammer,
snap ring pliers,
flat head screw driver,
maybe a torch (needed one for mine, and some others, but not always)
front hub removal tool (looks like a bigass socket but with 4 or 6 prongs on it depending what front axle you have)
jack stands....dont forget the jackstands.
oh and do yourself a favor, since you have to remove the axle shafts, install new u joints
Is the write up Racerguy did apply to my truck? Or is there another someone can suggest?
