Headlights got me stumped.

I just bought this '89 F150, 5.0 EFI from a buddy.
He hit a roll-off dumpster with this truck a few months ago. As far as we could tell, only cosmetic damage, Passenger side headlight, passenger fender, and hood.
I replaced all these with parts from the junkyard.

I cannot get the headlights to turn on, along with the parking lights and the tail lights.
However, the turn signals, hazards and brake lights all work fine.

According to my buddy, they worked before the wreck. but he never drove the truck at night after the wreck cuz it only had one light.

I've replaced the headlight switch, checked all the fuses.
and this is what I've found.

The green wire to the passenger headlight was cut, I fixed it.
Still no headlights.

I've been trying to test the new headlight switch with a ohmmeter, but I've never used an ohmmeter before. I don't imagine it's that complicated.
Either way, I haven't gotten a single reading from all my tests on the headlight switch.

One of the fuse links near the battery does not have anything connected to it, its the brown and orange one. not sure if this has anything to do with it, but it sure looks suspicious.

Thanks in advance.

did you check the grounds for the lights? they usually bolt to the fender or radiator support and could have easily have been forgoten when you started reassembling the truck. also did you say you had the one light before the repairs?

That sounds like the fuse link that powers the lights.

I have been checking all over the front end for a forgotten wire, but I don't recall ever pulling one off of the donor truck or my truck at teardown. I will triple check for the ground wires today.

I never thought of turning on the driver side headlight before I made the repairs, so I don't know if they worked after the wreck, pre repair.
All I know is they both worked prior to the wreck.

Also, I have a short black wire running off the positive terminal on the battery approx 16 guage, I think this may have went to the mystery Fuselink, which is definitely 16 guage. And the length of both leads me to believe they were connected, but they both have female connectors on them.

I should have mentioned this earlier, but the dash/dome lights dont work, I don't know if they worked before. but the radio kinda works (it has power at least, and gets shi**y signal in and out) But the Headlight switch, Dash and Dome lights and Radio are on the same fuse.
