Ok, I checked in to State parks. Some of them want $200.00 for the day. So for our 1st meeting I say we meet somewhere for dinner and we can go from there.
Now where do we want to meet? I need to say we do meet centrally for everyone, since this is our 1st Meeting.
Conyers, we could meet at Cracker Barrel.
Stockbridge, we could meet at the golden Corral.
Let's get some input from everyone. We will need to know how many will be coming so I can reserve the space.
Please e-mail me mwj68 at bellsouth.net and I will start setting up a Georgia Chapter Listing.
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 05-Feb-02 AT 11:28 AM (EST)]The Cracker Barrell would be awesome to meet at. I am near there. How about everyone else? About what time? I might be able to bring the famed red ugly beast that I own.....
Ken - how about you? Are you going to be able to make it? Won't have as good of a time unless the guy who keeps this thing up and running is there (no offense guys)!!!
Did we decide which to go to? Either is fine with me, I had mentioned the Golden Corral because of the location - oh yeah, may have had something to do with that 'all-you-can-eat' bar... hehe
The Golden Corral I think would be better, it can be sectioned off for groups. I need to get a count on the people coming and will need to give them about a weeks notice. Let's think about 4:30pm - 5:30pm somewhere in that time.
Directions:
From I-20 east ( away from Atlanta ) take Hwy 138 Conyers exit. Turn left at bridge. Go thru 2nd redlight and Golden Corral immediatley on your left.
Well I will definitely be there. Do we want to be there before the lunch crowd (11am), or just after (3pm)? I kinda think the 3pm might be better for those who live out some, gives them time to get there without getting up with the chickens, but then again...
Leave it up to everyone - I can eat whenever food is around...
We have "Golden Corral" in Hampton, they're great for large groups.
My division goes there every so often for our once a month luncheons, and they average around ten bucks a head. (drinks excluded, we always do seperate checks if anyone wants to go THERE...)
