i have a 1989 ford f250 diesel aoto when i started it up it will not come out of park any body have any ideas thanks

Does it not come out of park only on start up, but after warming up it will? Does it not release from park at all? Are you sure you don't need to have your foot on the brake before it will release from park?

Please try to be more specific.

it will not come out of poark at all even with the brake pushed on
