Overflow tank recommedations?
I also plan to buy one of those spiffy looking polished SS tubular overflow tanks.
They come in 2 inch or 3 inch diameters.
The 2 inch tend to be 15 to 17 inches long and the 3 inch diameter go from as short as 10 inches to about 15 or 18 inches long.
I'd prefer the 2 inch diameter. What would an apprpriate length for a mildly built 5.0 liter ?
Your recommendations?
Thanks,

Where's the bling in that, I ask you.
When it's seen, it's gotta be bling

Whatever size holds about a quart (1 L.) of coolant, assuming you are using it for a coolant recovery tank rather than a boilover catch tank?

I use the baby one. It seems sufficient. I am running a three core radiator out of a 70s truck. I don't think I get hot enough to use the overflow tank much at all. Dicks idea is cheaper. You could use some of that aerosol chrome paint if the PVC don't suit ya.

A coolant recovery tank....
I think even the 2 X 15 holds slightly over 1 liter, so that should work fine then.
Yeah.....chrome paint over PVC pipe......I think I'll pass..
Thanks gents!

I understand. You don't have the customizing feel that Dick and I have. Don't beat yourself up though. It's just something we were both born with.
Just checked your gallery. Truck is really starting to come together nicely
.
And yes, the little ones hold about a liter.

And they won't do squat for a Frosty Beverage.
