Ran out of money? Clean looking sheet metal other than the bed.

I don’t see what the problem is here.... perhaps you can shed some light on what exactly you find offensive enough to bring it here and start a thread called "here they go again"?<O</O
To that degree, keep in mind; he built that truck for him, not for you and not for me. And as BLSD said, at least it’s on the road and he probably has gotten some enjoyment out of it.<O</O
Is it built to my liking no, but I do like the feel of the bed, it just needs a little more work and he'd be there, IMO<O</O
It’s easy to look at something you wouldn't have built or don't like and try to make fun of it. It makes you feel like what you are doing to your truck is right. It might also make you feel like you're in the cool club for downing on someone’s ride... Well before you get up on that high horse of yours, just wonder what it would be like if someone used pictures of your F1 in a thread aimed at what not to do. "Here they go again... look at this red F1...". "He really had it going in the right direction until he chose to use wheels from the 1980's on it....<O</O
All of that aside, it really isn't cool to make fun of someone’s ride unless they are around. So by the pictures you posted, it looks like this thing is on eBay. Why don’t you go on there and post a link to this thread so the poor guy can at least defend himself.

I might venture to say that he has some sort of a "roll-on/roll-off" thing he slides in the back that he doesn't want to carry all the time - like a tool box flat or maybe a short camper.

It actually appears to be a darn nice truck -- check it out:

Ford : F-100:eBay Motors (item 230389283427 end time Oct-23-09 21:49:44 PDT)

"This is a good old truck. I do have the bed, and running boards that came with the truck, and a few other parts that go with it. This truck is not perfect, but great for it's age. The truck is in northern Ca, so you will have to be able to pick it up at our location. Mileage is unknown on this truck, so I just gave the number that it shows at this time. I have peep mirrors that were on the truck, but not in the pictures. We drive it around our town often, and it starts up even in cold weather. There are some things that still need fixing, but if I fixed them all, I would have to ask a lot more for the truck. Contact if you have any questions, or would like to see more pictures. Thanks, and good luck on bidding."

Yep, I couldn’t agree with you more! As some wise person said, on here I think, if you try and build you vehicle to suit someone else, nobody is happy, if you built it to suit yourself, then at least you will be happy.

But, there is always a but, as open minded as I would like to think I am, and as subjective as this discussion always will be, there is a limit.

If it were mine I would channel the cab on the frame about six inches and raise the rear fenders three inches , put a good box on it and smile . Because it would be mine to do as I please . Oh yeah and drop in a small block ford . Everybody has their on Ideas .

Hehehehe, well I will say this about that...

I salivate a little looking at the "potential" that truck has. I'd love to get my hands on it and work it over.

If it's on the road it's a better truck than I have at the moment........ Driving speaks for itself. Sittin on Jackstands (me) means I need to aspire to get on the road. Good for them !

Why can't people figure out the difference between an F-1 and an F-100! An F-1 is not an F-100!!!!!
