Yes the 408 again

ok heres what im doing I have a 78 F100 with a 302. I have now a 351w from a 94 f250 I plan to stoke to 393 or 408 not sure on which one.I want something i can drive everyday but still have something strong to have a little fun with. Ive been looking everywhere for info on these builds but im not finding the answers I need. So here is what im thinking of doing with it

Cast stroker crank
stock length rods
forged dished pistons -22cc or -24cc i want about 9.5-1 compression. will I need premium pump fuel with that compression, should i be running it anyways if im above that.
185cc patriot heads 60cc combustion chambers 2.02 intake 1.60 exhaust
edlebrock performer rpm intake
headman street headers
Now i dont know to go edelbrock 650cfm thunder avs or 750cfm manual choke economy calibrated
And the other issue is a camshaft im undecided between comp xe270hr 35-324-8 1800-5800 rpm218/224 .544 lift
or lunati 61003 268/276 1800-6200 rpm 227/233 .522/.538 lift
The lunati seems a better choice
C6 with 2400-2500 stall 3.73 gears
another question does my motor originaly come with 1.7 or 1.6 rockers?
So can someone clarify things for me or give me your opinion on my setup thanks.

I'm going to pull my 302 out and drop in a stroked out 351 with forged internals and every edlebrock goodie you can think of with hooker long tube headers, and a complete Pertronix ignition kit. I've already built the engine. Just gotta find time to drop her in.

I'm gonna get wheels up on my 78 F100. But thats just who I am.

I say do it. Whatever "IT" maybe dude. Go for it. Go Big or go home. The only reason I'm not putting a rediculous blower on my stroker is budgetary constraints you dig?

The bore and stroke on my 351 comes out to be roughly 402. Imagine that. Both you and I know how much a 302 in a 78 suck. Ok so add 100 cubes with insane compression and the best aftermarket go fast goodies you can buy.

Dream about that. Thats where I'm going in the next year. Good look fellow traveler

Are you looking at a complete stroker kit or piecing parts together yourself?
If your combo produces 9.5:1 CR you'll be fine on pump gas.
The Windsor family all use 1.6 rockers stock.
