grinding noise

Had a bad grinding noise in front end of f 250 hd when decelerating with ttb d 50. Spider gears were broke . Friend had dana 60 solid axle,so I swapped. All I had to do was use my hubs and discs. I still have bad grinding noise in front end when decelerating. Nothing else was used from front end of mine.
So my question is, "do the wheel bearing hubs go bad?"
Shortened and balanced drive shaft,
New axle u joints, wheel bearings and lockout hubs.

thanks
jim

96 f250 . What I'm wondering is do the splines in the hub go bad ? Everything else is new.The hubs have 90000 on them. I'm talking front end also.

did you replace the small roller bearing that the axle rides on? you have to take off the rotor then take off the hub that the rotor rides on and inside that hub is a small roller bearing that the axle rides on. that bearing could be dry.

Take the hubs apart and take a look, it should be quieter locked unless there is a problem in the locking hubs or diff. Sure it's not in the T-case?

I guess we are talking about 2 different hubs, i said wheel hub not locking hub, and there is no spindle, just a stub axle in the knuckle.

he is also working on a 96 f250 not a super duty, they don't have a sealed hub bearing thay have a bolt in spindle shaft that the stub axle rides in. when he said he replaced the hubs i took that he ment the lock out hubs.
