Question about emissions

I took my truck through emissions last week and it passed. My question is, there currently are no tags on it (they expired in '97) So how long do I have to register it before the test is no longer valid? The form only has on it about how long to renew, but not for something not on the road. I suppose I could wait onhold with the state for and hour, but I was hoping someone here might know.
Thanks

Question about emissions

Howdy,

Not sure of the correct answer but in my case it was 4 months before I got mine registered after the smog test. They did back date the regis. to when I got the test (but I also had 90 and 30 day temp tags).

Have you tried the website: http://www.dot.state.az.us/MVD/mvd.htm

If your answer isn't in the FAQ, I think you can email them.

Later,
