Ok, here's what i'm experiencing. I noticed that my auto hubs weren't locking and that my climate controls were stuck on defrost. After searching around on here, i realized that i may have one or more of these problems:
1. I have a vacuum leak
2. My vacuum pump is bad
3. My vacuum pump solenoid is bad.
So after various tests, I narrowed it down to the pump or the solenoid. I replaced the pump today and now that is working but it runs continuously. Knowing this was not right i did some more tests. I plugged the line that went from the vacuum canister to the solenoid. When i did this the vacuum pump shut off. This let me know that there was no leaks on the climate control side of the system. I also check where the lines attach to the knuckles and they seem to be intact and free from cracks. At this point i believe that the solenoid may also be bad. Does anyone know of any tricks or easy tests i can perform on the solenoid to determine if it is bad? And/or does anyone have a spare vacuum pump solenoid that i can use/buy? any help will be greatly appreciated!
I had one fail the same way. Fixed it with a set of manual WARNs. The test is simple. The solenoid should only actuate for 30 seconds or so when you turn your 4wd switch to activate/deactivate the hubs. Place the switch in 2WD, wait a couple minutes, check to see if you have any vacuum on the hub side of the valve. If you do then the valve is not working correctly.

This may sound goofy, but I experienced the very same symptoms that you described at the beginning of your post. Turns out that my batteries were weak and failed a few days later. I had new batteries installed by the dealer (under warranty) and now my hubs lock and the climate control works normally.
Best I can figure is that the vacuum pump wasn't getting enough voltage and not operating properly. You may have a totally different problem, but I just wanted to share my experience just in case it helps you out in any way.

I'll give this a try and see what happens. Thanks!

The original pump didn't run at all and i took it to the dealership and had them test it. They said it was bad. When i hooked the new one up it started working right away. I believe the batteries are okay but thanks for the heads up. it doesn't hurt to cover all the bases
