It Leaks

I've had my used 2003 Ranger for about a week now and found out today that it leaks during a rain shower. Found the leak just above the back glass right behind the passenger seat. Does anyone know whether or not this is a typical problem?

I think I remember some other posts about this problem. It's the brake light above the window. Some sealant got put in wrong or didn't get put in right at the factory if I remember correctly.

I had the same problem a few years back and i thought it was the brake light too. Turns out it was the rear window. I ran some clear silicone along the top of the rubber seal on the outside and it hasn't leaked since. Be careful not to use too much because it can be messy.
