I'm not b1+ching, I'm just stating a view that, I'm guessing, most on here feel about your constant complaining. They just may not say it. I've read your posts from long before you bought your psd and it's constant whining about this and that.

It's a funny thing Will-i-am... dialup still gets you on the internet. Yes it takes longer to use, but you can still do it. Last time I checked having dialup does NOT disable the search capabilities of your computer!!

Do you just wait until the very second you've got the part in hand to look for help? Or do you see what others have done, look for instructions, get a list together of materials, tools, etc, and go into it from an educated perspective?

I know with me personally, if I don't like the design of something or whiched it was done differently, I'll either create my own, have it made, or modify it. If any of those don't work, then I just go with what's available.

Back on the topic...

Plenty of people have given you guidance and suggestions for installation of your gauges. If you don't like what they have to say, then don't ask the questions. Pretty simple really!!

Uhhh.
I never said anything bad about anyones suggestions.

It is okay if people see what I say as complaining. Most people don't understand the things I say.
If I complain about something. It certainly will not be on here.
Don't look down on others who think or act differently then you do.

And as for researching stuff.
I do quite a bit of it.
So here is your cheese, for your wine.

And no ****, dial up gets you the internet.
Thank you captain obvious.
Do you know how long it takes for FTE to load just on dial up?
Let alone research things and look for pictures.
I've sat here waay to much over the last few days looking for information regarding lots of things I am doing.

My only bitch though, ever.
Is people don't respect others opinions. I don't care if you dissagree or how you feel.
Opinions are opinions only.
I get to listen to everyone talk about how much I "whine" and "bitch" and "complain"
When all I do is state an opinion.
My demeanor is different than yours. Accept it and move on.
I use sarcasm.

Thanks for saying something though.
Next time do it in private. though please.

And if anyone else wants to bitch in private. bring it.
I'll turn the other cheek all day.

Ok then. Go back and look at some of your 5000+ posts, including some in this thread, and honestly tell us you're not complaining on here...

Don't look down on others who think or act differently then you do.

I'm not looking down on others and neither should you. We're all different and that's definitely a good thing!!

I do like my cheese, but not a wine fan. It's to "stuffy" for me.

Actually yes I do. Just in the last 6 months have I gotten high speed at home. Had dialup for almost a year and a half after joining FTE. Most of my mods have been researched using dialup...

Answer - sarcastic but still a valid answer:

Gasser nonetheless!
Your response:

Now i'm going to have to go find another trim piece to replace that one (which will be damned near impossible) for when I move my gauges to their correct location.
Just assinine design! really it is.

Another response with a little sarcasm thrown in:

Your response to me and others about the design:

You could purchase the 200-300 dollar satellite dish and the 60 dollar a month fee for high speed internet for my area. seeing that nothing else is available.
I'm stuck here on dial crap, and that makes it a PITA to research anything.

So, if you want to bitch about me stating my opinion. Think about how well off you are first, and what you have that I don't. Damn people not humble enough.
Read my comments above ...

Actually Neal. I was only gonna put in the pillar till I figured out a better spot. I dislike pillar gauges. everyone and their mother has one, and I think they are a bit tacky looking. As for painting another piece of trim. I'd rather not. Only if it was my only option.
I'd actually agree with your thoughts on pillar gauges. Unfortunately there really isn't many other options for the OBS trucks.

I planned on trying to find a way to run it without drilling or cutting anything. Thanks for the suggestion Tim. I just don't like to modify things unless there is a benefit for it. Modifying something due to something else's poor design to make it work does not make me to ... excited.
A nice response back to someone's suggestion. Then followed by complaining about the design again. It is what it is. If you hate it enough then don't use it and please design something different that we can all benefit from.

BTW- the SD pillar pods mount the same way. But they make alot more pod designs for the SD dashes than they do for the OBS. So the pillar isn't the only option for them.

Drat, only my pyro showed up today.
The other one is coming from Texas. =(

Pillar isn't bad. Gotta be some way I can make this work differently.

Any one who is interested in isspro gauges though. They are packed very well with okay instructions.
The gauge is high quality as far as im concerned. I wont be able to tell more till it is powered up and working though. I got Ev2's, cause I wanted the LED backlighting.
The gauges are clean and connector style plugs though. Very nice stuff. Made in Oregon as well.

William did you get the ones that match the dash? I.E. white numbers with white needle. If so, I'd really like to see some pics once they are installed to see how well they match the dash. I'm looking at some Isspro EV2's for my OBS.

I got r17022 for my Pyro.
thats black face, black trim with white letters and red pointer, to match the dash. I got mine without the color code on it though, its just numbers.
I'll get them off my camera later tonight and post it while I'm at the college for you to check out.
I got the dimmer kit r72022 as well.
I wish these came with a schematic instead of written instructions. Ahh well. I'll figure it out. Somebody said #10 fuse and #17 fuse to hook gauges and lights up. I'ma have to look up what they do. If i have an empty spot. I might try and make it its own spot.
The kits parts in both i received today were excellent. Nice quality wires. the pyro was decent from the one's Ive used before in hvac stuff. I got pictures of everything so. You'll see how it works when I got them all in.

These gauges are beautiful. I cannot wait to light them up in the truck.

My Boost gauge wont be here till tomorrow.

I have an Idea for this pillar pod, so I'ma have to see if any of the places round here have that trim piece.
Prolly gonna cost me 40 something dollars. 4x4 junkyard by me wants lots for little things and decent prices for bigger things. All comes with a great attitude from those who work there (lots of sarcasm there, they are a-holes) and a nice price tag.

If I can get the trim piece, whatever the color. I think I can come up with a better idea than others have been doing. Otherwise I'm back to square one.
I'm hoping the good Pick and pull by me has an OBS someplace there.

Look at all your goodies on the wall!!!

I'm going to build something for the curve just to the left of your gauges.
Thats why I have to find a trim piece to sacrafice for now.

I might try and make it from the ducts on the bolt in also. Not sure yet.
Just gotta take my time and do it right.

those arent hard to see right there? seems to me like they are out of your field of vision. i wouldn't mind finding a way to mount them to the factory guage bezel. i know cody put his HPO guage and his scan guage on the steering column cover. i think they look good there and probably fairly easy to see as well.

No they arent hard to see them there. I prefer that position instead that in the pillar, I think in the pillar obstruc the vision or distract your vision more when you see them, and I learned that you have to see ONLY ONE gauge at the time (fuel, temp, boost, etc), not want to see all together at the same time.

i find myself checking my egts constantly though and i would think looking over there would be a long way to take your eyes off the road. i'm really not sure why i bother looking at my egt guage b/c i had it pegged multiple times all weekend long(1500*). LoL. found out it hits 1500* egt at around 90 mph on the drag strip!! hahahahaha

How many boxes of Kleenex have slid out the passenger window?

That wouldn't last 5 miles in my truck unless it was glued down...
