How many miles do I really have?

With a digital odometer and a mechanical speedometer, I am not sure the two are related in any way, but I noticed my speedometer is off. With a GPS unit reading 55 mph, the speedometer says 60. The GPS will say 65 mph when the truck speedometer says 70. The two are fairly close at about 40 mph. So the question is, when my odometer says 208,000 miles, is it accurate?

I'm guessing you don't have stock sized tires on the vehicle. If they were, then the mph would be closer than 5 mph to the GPS unit.

As far as the laws go...your truck has exactly what's listed on your odometer, unless it's been noted on the title that the odometer has exceeded it's mechanical limits (flipped).

Thanks for the reply! I will have to check to see what tires I have on there. I just purchased new tires too and I didn't think there was anything special about them. Just regular tires on 15" rims, not oversized tires like a teenager would use for instance.

well i have 42 inch tires on my truck... the odo is gonna read the corrrect amount of miles..but for me i realisictly have more miles than on the odo.

for that big tires to turn once it takes like 2 rotations on the truck

so mine says 155,000 but i kno that it has more miles with those tires
