Had to let go

Well my brother had to trade off his 2004 350. Just keep letting us down on the road. Plus his warranty was about to come to an end and just could not stand the repairs. He traded without my knowledge for a 2009 dura max. I told him that he messed up and should have stayed with the fords. Plus we will have to pay twice for that truck. Once on the note and the other in taxes that we bailed them out with. I told him to sleep good tonite knowing he bought a truck from a company that just got out of bankruptcy. And probably built it during their time in bankruptcy.

I'm a little confused here. Are you not the same one that said that you didn't know of a Ford that couldnt' handle the "abuse" that y'all put them thru and you had this little gem that you neglected to mention?

I am assuming, of course, that your brother would follow your same schedule with keeping up with things. Same type of filters, same keeping up with the tranny flushes etc?

Now if I have you confused with another user that I am sorry, I do get confused easily.

I would have to say you assumed wrong. My brother and i are two totally different people. He takes care of his trucks a hundred times better than i do. He changes his oil religiously at 5000 miles. He dont abuse his trucks like i do. His truck was an 04 with 99000 miles. Mine is an 06 with 135000 miles. His interior was spotless. mine wore out seats has not been cleaned in about 4 months. Also if you would have read my post on two stroke oil you would see he didnt use it. The problems he had out of it were mainly fuel problems. Pump went out and killed all his injectors first time. Second time pump fell apart after 5000 miles and got one bank of injectors.

Hopefully, you could understand where I was coming from with that assumption. Although you didn't mention rather or not he uses the same filters as you do or not.

I don't follow threads like that, because I don't believe in using stuff like that. 2 stroke oil, ATF etc, not for me.

What caused the pump to go out? It may not necessarily be the pump or truck's fault. Something could be introduced that caused a blockage that ruined the pump. Bad fuel itself, trash in the fuel, water in the fuel, or even bad filters can cause problems. Now it could be just bad pumps as well.
