Supercab Stepside??

I have a 79 F250 single cab with a wood flatbed that I'm planning on putting on 2.5 ton Rockwells and 53 inch Michelins. I have a stepside bed already. The original plan was to make it short wheel base by either just moving the rear axle forward and hacking off the remaining frame rails OR cutting the frame in half so the axle will remain under the frame hump. But now I was thinking I could get a supercab "cab" and keep the long wheelbase but still use the stepside bed.

I guess it would be called dual purpose. If it did hit the trails, I'd rather not rub it on trees and tear up the body for no reason. Especially if it's supercab. Here's another question you may know the answer to.. What does it take to mate a 4 speed to a 460? From what I understand, I need to buy a bell housing from a cleveland engine as well as a fly wheel and clutch. The 250 I'm building will eventually have said 4 speed.

The bell housing from a 351M, 400 or 429 will mate to the 460, I'm not sure about the cleveland, I thought they used a different bell housing but check into it.

You're right, the Cleveland is a small block bell housing bolt pattern
Engines with same bell housing bolt patterns
* 351 Modified M-block V8 (Not to be confused with the 351 Cleveland which uses the small block V8 pattern)
* 400 V8 (except some 1973 castings)
* 370 V8
* 429 V8
* 460 V8
* 512 V8

If you search under supercab in tulsa on craigslist the guy has his number and may be able to get more pics for you. I think it was posted sometime in september. I know it is still on there cause I just took the photo from there.
