Update on progress!!
Hey guys,I finally got my new "1976" front axel in. Switched over because I wanted power brakes and power assist. I am also fighting the lines to the right spot on the valve. I will try the slave to the inside "toward the frame" and the pressure up front left and return up front right "toward the tire". I have a u-joint in my steering shaft. I think it is better than a solid one do to the fact it will adjust for any play from the cab, you know not bind. Still have the power brake boster and valve to install. The brakes work with out it, I just want the POWER part in there. I also switched from a 4-speed to a C6. I changed out the pedals and steering column. The front axel I got had a piece of metal running under it like a cradle. It is notched for the pumkin and runs the lenght of the axel. Is this a factory piece or a home made job. Looks like it adds strength to the axel. It has been a while since I have worked on the old girl, I have tons of updates. My wife gets tired of hearing me ramble on about it. I also have an Edelbrock 6-pack and cross ram to put on after I get the front end done. Not sure which one to run. I will try and get pictures on here to show my baby to you all. I love this truck!!!
