Screw that pile of crap. The F650 XUV starts at 189k, and you can get it fully loaded for $250-260k. And you've got a diesel under the hood. And twin 150gal tanks.
One of these will be my next truck. I have a feeling I'm going to have to stretch the life of my 04 6.0 PSD Excursion a little longer than expected though...
And even worse yet.... if you have a 6.0L diesel, you're lucky to ever get to 60 before it decides to break down again.
To 60 years maybe. 185k trouble free miles on a stock 6.0. In another 200k, I'll think about having it in for service, even though it'll be still running strong, just as a "preventative maintenance" type thing. My mpg will probably have dropped to about 19.8, and I'd feel better if it was back up at it's normal 20.2mpg. You know how it is. Oh wait, gas, guess you don't.
You guys and girls in these forums have constantly been brainwashed into believing a V-10 has about 135 horsepower and couldn't bust it's way out of a large wet paper bag. It just ain't so.
Oh, I absolutely agree. The V-10's have no problem bursting out of a wet paper bag. It's the DRY paper bags they have trouble with!
I use to see stuff like this all the time, My dad and brother use to work for a company just north of Cincinnati called O'gara Hess & Eisenhardt. They built all the Presidental Limos from JFK to Bush Sr. I've seen some 6 door Suburban Dulley's with some kind of V12 in them, 4 hi and you could smoke all six tires. I had my hand on Saddam Hussein's Royal Chase Car, He sent it to Cadillac of Detroit to get the engine replaced, The Government seized it when the first gulf war broke out. They sent it back to O'gara H&E, It still had all his royal flags on it. I rode in some Sadia Arabia oil tycoon chase limos, They were just stretch 90's impalas on a 3/4 ton frame repowered by Jeg's with 400 SBC's estimated at 500hp. They were fun to test drive. large tube headers 3'' exhaust with no mufflers. Now the place is called Armor Holdings BAE and they armor Hummers for the GOV. I'm only 4 miles away and see armord Hummers behind my houes on test drives all the time. That is a great looking Ex though, I wish mine looked that cool without the armor...

Sure, you're not going to do 0 to 60 in 13 seconds with a V-10 in a heavy armored vehicle. But you also won't be doing 0 to 60 in 13 seconds with a diesel. And even worse yet.... if you have a 6.0L diesel, you're lucky to ever get to 60 before it decides to break down again.
Im not stating that the v-10 cant do the job, im just stating that its alotta weight for the stock motor. When it comes to v-10s, i like em better then diesels. Id rather have a v-10 in that limo because i am a huge fan of the motor.
I feel safe in saying you're the exception to the rule.
Count your blessings.
It seems Ford hit home runs with the 7.3 diesel and the new 6.4 diesel. But the 6.0 diesel
seems to be a disaster for many people.I sure am glad I didn't buy one.

Na I know a lot of people with problem less 6.0's. Mines been great. Now if I drove my 6.0 like you drive your V 10 I would still be on my first head gasket BUT because we used the crap out of that 6.0 some little problems came out like towing our 15K trailer that we always thought was 13K and stuff along those lines.

I wish I'd never even seen one, and I had 2 of them. Definitely not for a time critical hot-shot truck where your lively hood and contracts depend on them.

Again I have to disagree with that. One of my friends dad had a 2003 6.0 with 300,000 miles hot shotting. To date 6 oil changes and one injector out
Dam if it had a 6.4 in it then it might be worth the 525,000
Still sick tho. But you would think for an armor car why would you want to you flammable gas instead of less flammable diesel tank under you
???
Cause WEE10>Diesel in reliability for 05's
Oh and executives dont like stinking of diesel fumes.

So why are ford and IH in a major lawsuit over the excessive warranty claims/costs of the 6.0? Why did for go to an in-house build diesel after the 6.0? Why are 6.0's shunned in the used car market?
^^^All reasons you cant have that motor in a vehicle such as a highly armored vehicle transporting billionaires and high level political officials. Those unreliable 6.0's will get people killed. People with that kind of $ don't want to be stuck on the side of the road. These people are smart, they didn't get where theya re by being stupid. That's why they would chose a V10 for this vehicle.
Also we have picture proof posted on here of a V10 towing insane loads of wood with no problems. Even on hills! Must be a photoshop though, cause it didnt have a noisy smelly overpriced motor under the hood though right?
