installed DP now wont start

put my new dp f6 in and now the truck wont start. ive removed it 7 times cheaned it and still dosent work struck starts with out chip and the switch works. ive cleaned the tab all the way down to the copper. must be something wrong with the chip. thanks

This is strange. Like Dan said contact Jody, I hope you didn't clean it to much I have read of some going to the copper and had to get re-tinned. Sorry I am no help.

I had the same problem, I think it was the switch wire connection. Jody told me when that connection isn't good it is, or is like (I'm not sure which) being in the no start mode. What setting are you trying to start it in? From experience, if you have the drive through tune, don't try and start on that one

I can gurantee that if there is a problem with the chip Jody will take care of you. Don't worry about that. Good move getting the F-6, emailing tunes is convienient.

Double check that you have the cable installed properly. I had the same sort of issue.

DP in. Won't start. DP out. Fires right up. I couldn't figure out what was going on. Then I went to pull out the switcher and cable to take it all the way out and I realized I'd put the cable into the switcher upside down. Although if your switcher lights up that is probably not the issue.

hey guys got ahold of jody. we went over it and ive been installing the chip correctly. he thinks the chip might have to be re programed and he just left for a trip so he emailed the the files and every thing. but..... when i go to his web site to down load the usb driver thing, once i download it and try to extract it with winzip i get a error message saying the file is not valid and to down load it again. well i cant get it to work. any one wanna try and do it so i can figure out if my computer is messed up or if its his site. thanks yal
