2004 SD 6.0.
Installed a Dieselsite coolant filter back a few months ago. Well 2K miles later (last night) I removed the first filter. I slowly dumped it into a tin and coffee filter. I could not believe the sh## that was in it. Sand, chips of scale, bug wings, YES BUG WINGS! After seeing this I am a true beliver in the coolant filters on these machines. Sorry no pictures.....Not an advertisment for my filter choice, but I highly recomend installing one if you have not already. I had 100k in my truck when I installed it following a complete coolant flush and change.

Yes I know it's a good investment. I intend to purchase one soon. I also intend to go with the Diesel Site one. Did you also get the Coolant Filter Ball Valves Think it would make the filter change alot cleaner. Also how hard was the install?? Thanks
Highly recommend the ball valves. Got 'em on mine and they do make the filter change less messy with less coolant lost during the change. The install is very easy.
Ok Thanks, I will order the filter kit;ball valves; extra filters to save on shipping so I don't have to order them one at a time...Have to save a buck here and there today..
