i have a 2000 psd it has started running rough on idle it fine when you first crank it up then it seems as it warms up thats when the rough idle starts if any one can help thank you
How clean is your oil? How familiar are you with the sensors on the 7.3 PSD? There are 2 that I'd "look at" first...
ICP - Injection Control Pressure sensor, on the front edge of the driver's side cylinder head. While the truck is off, unplug the harness from the sensor. this will force the ECU to use default values and not readings from the sensor. If she smooths out, get a new one.
IPR - Injection Pressure Regulator, on the back of your HPOP. Not likely to be this one, but depending on mileage and the condition of your oil, it could be sticking.
Neither sensor is cheap ($200 ish each) but Ed (www.partsguyed.com) has REALLY saved my bacon and got me parts ASAP & for a great price.
