Why is it on my 62 Uni that there is no door lock on the drivers door, but there is one on the passengers door? I thought someone had filled in the hole, but there was no hole to fill in. I saw a 61 Uni with the same configuration. Any ideas or thoughts?

For decades, Ford cars/trucks only had one door lock cylinder...on the passenger side.
The reason for this was...that Henry Ford considered it unsafe for people to stand out in traffic locking/unlocking doors.
So what ppl did was...slide across the seat, and exit the passenger side door.
Back then, most streets did not have a dividing line down the center, traffic was basically all over the map!
In 1949 (Henry died in 1947), Ford installed drivers side door lock cylinders in passenger cars.
Custom Cabs beginning in 1953 have both, but many Standard Cabs did not, because it was an extra cost option thru 1962.
btw: Henry was not the only one. Most cars/trucks made prior to WWII did not have a left door lock cylinder.
