Keys and remote for Exp.

I have a 2000 EB EXP. I have one key that works good and one that will fail and stop the engine sometimes. Do you have to buy these and remotes from Ford or is there someplace else you can purchase these?

You can purchase the keys and remotes on ebay. With the 2000, you will need 2 working keys to program additional keys. You will have to visit your local ford dealer or possibly locksmith. The remotes you can program yourself (this can be done by doing a search on here). Good luck!

When I got my '01 Expy it had good keys but the remotes were bad. I got a new pair of Ford remotes for $15 off of eBay and they were a snap to program. Like Oldtrucknutt said, the keys you have to get from Ford or a locksmith. and they are not cheap!

But then you have to get them programmed to work in the vehicle. If you don't have 2 working keys then you have to take it to a dealer or a locksmith that has the proper tools to do this job. I know of some dealers who charge up to $150 for that. Which is stupid.

Anyone local to Indianapolis can get ahold of me. I have the hookup

I bought a key off Ebay and had a local locksmith reprogram it and he charged only 45 bucks.
