It sucks, but the salt season is approaching.
I was looking for some tips on additives that will keep the
fuel in my tank in good shape for the winter.
Av fuel is like "car" gas, but with about a 110 octane rating. I used to use Chevron Ban-ice during winter to keep the water content down & the carb from freezing up. Now I use alcohol that I get at a grocery store. THAT will keep the water from settling in the tank / it mixes with the gas and water and burn in the cylinder. Check the TYPES of alcohol and get the purest = cheaper and more than what you get at the auto parts store. Want to boos the octane = add grain alcohol from the "package store", or just add some "shine".
Another vote for Stabil, I use it in my boat. Big thing is put in the stabil per directions then FILL the tank to the top. Not filling it will allow condensation to form as well as rust from that.
