351m won't run
I've got a 1979 Ford F-150 with a 351M it was sitting for a long time and I got it and started throwing parts on it and had it running about 3-4 minutes and remembered it didn't have water in it so I shut it down and put water in and now it won't start. When I crank it over it don't fire but it will fire once just when I shut off the key. Any ideas. Thanks!

I had a bad ignition switch do that to me, I always had trouble with it and I thought I was just lucky Ha!! Try running a hot wire to the hot side of the coil then start the truck, you are gonna have to remove the hot wire to shut it down, and remember use this only to troubleshoot, the coil isnt meant to have 12volts sent to it for a long amount of time, it will overheat it and could burn it up. If you have a aftermarket true 12 volt coil then dont worry about it. Anyway if you run that hotwire to the hot side of the coil and the problem goes away, it is most likely the ignition switch. Post your findings.
