Transmission line howl
I have an annoying howl coming out of my '05 FX4's transmission line while cruising with light throttle exactly between 45-50mph. There's some resonance here that disappears below 45 and above 50.
I think there's a TSB on it, but my 3yr,36K bumper-to-bumper coverage is over. Would this be covered under the 5yr powertrain warranty? It's a bit vague.
The service guys here want to charge me $180 for diagnosis to confirm if there's a problem and seem ignorant about what the warranty covers
