exhaust question.

i just bought an '09 F-150. i want to put flowmasters on it. i am considering 40 series, putting true duals on it. does anyone know if there is an added benefit to the sound of performance to running true duals as opposed to a single muffler, with single in dual output?

When i had my stang i was always told unless you spend the money on headers and back it really dont matter. I just ordered the mbpr single in single out. I just when to you tube and typed f150 and whatever exhaust and listen (didnt really hear any sound difference from single out or dual out)for the 07's and up on the 5.4 i think the mbpr sounds the best. just my 2 cent.

Don't kill your performance with dual outs.

single is always better power wise than duals.

Just last week I installed a 3" single out catback with a Magnaflow muffler and 3.5" s/s tip on my 09 F150 crewcab. It went on easily { there are a ton of tubes and lines on top of the left side rear axle making duals a installation nightmare & more expensive } looks and sounds just right. Not too obnoxious , no drone in the cab, or rapping under hard acceleration. ...not to mention A LOT cheaper . For a street driven truck, it's the way to go, the only thing you don't have is the " dual exhaust " look ! My additional power { if any } and mileage is yet unknown as the truck has under 500 miles on her right now
