What do you mean the underhood color is red Pete? It looks like all you did is remove the foil from the IC tube. You haven't painted that yet? No red split loom on all the wiring?
I agree the filter cover goes a long way in dressing up under the hood, but what other plans do you have to dress things up? The intercooler pipes are an easy project with just a rattle can, and if you find one of your girlfriends that has some fingernail polish, have them trace out the Powerstroke letters on your appearance cover (black cover on top of the fuel filter bowl). That's around $5 to really dress things up.
petey id love to have that cover till i figure out my under hood scheme
and when i do ill pass it along just as u have
Then it's yours.
Chris I've got Optima red tops, a red tapped aih plug, red IC boots so the only logical choice was a red filter cover. And my decorative cover's bracket me an unfortunate end when it was getting in the way of me trying to fix a major fuel leak from the fuel bowl. I pulled in to work and as I got to the parking lot it started pissing out fuel because apparently I'd over-tightened the lid and smushed out the gasket. So I was installing my spare and it kept cross-threading because the bracket was in my way. Didn't' have the socket to take it off (was borrowing tools from bossman) so it got the end of a ratchet. And as far as painting the IC pipes I could but what's the fun in that? Everyone and their mother paints their IC pipes. I kinda like the unfinished look on them.

Then you should consider adding a broader shot to give us the full effect of the color scheme.

Then congrats on not bowing to peer pressure. I guess I'm just used to the overboard stuff since we got everything back from the powder coating place for my wife's truck. I'm thinking she took color coordination to a whole new level.

I tried to get one but taking pictures in the dark doesn't work out too good.
