Hello everyone! Up until now I have spent all my time over on the diesel forums, but now could use a little help here.
I have a 1984 f250 4x4 with a body thats about to fall off. I have a line on a 1984 f150 two wheel drive. My question is are the body's the same, will they interchange easily, and is there anything to watch out for in doing the swap? thank you for your time.........Kevin
Thanks guys. I figured the bodies were the same, but wasn't sure!
Now another question. The donor truck is a two wheel drive automatic and the recipient truck is a four wheel drive manual. Are there knock outs in the floor for the extra linkages, or do I just need to measure from the old cab and cut them out myself?
there is a sheet metal piece in the trans tunnel that is screwed down.. you need to remove that and replace it with the 4x4 one.. once you take out the carpet you will know exactly what i mean
its a piece of cake.. just make sure that you use rtv or silicone to make a nice seal
