yea the windows are 10.5 inches high in the side. I thought about sectioning the whole truck but that might be more extensive than i want. I will do roadster before i do that. As of now its all a vision and some rough ideas on paper
MY minitruck is about ready for body and paint work by the month end. Just need to finish installing my blazer tailights instead her is from about 5 minutes ago
So is it the motivation that makes you decide which way you go with your build, either way I'm looking forward to your build. I do agree with opening up the rear window if you keep the chopped top.
I got a smokin' deal on my Dual 400C Viair Compressors and a big-a$$ 12-gallon 8-port tank...

yes they are great guys, My buddy AL is the guy who answers the phones, tell him james from AV sent ya. He will give you the best prices on everything.
Too many times tops are chopped without regard for problem of fitting a windshield afterwards. Not being able to fit a windshield has put many a truck into the scrap yard. The slant cabs are more forgiving than the 56, (even West Coast Customs ran into that snag when they were building the trucks for the Stallone movie and had to change from 56s the movie co wanted to slant cabs) but it still is not a cake walk. The chop looks like it tapers to the rear? That would be an odd way of doing it. Look under the roof for 2 seams bisecting the roof where the roof has been widened/lengthened. If there are no seams, beware!
I'd recommend soda or walnut shell blasting back to bare metal to see what quality of work and foundation you have underneath before putting any additional money into it. If you are going to have to redo most of the body work and/or replace most of the already customized sheet metal you might want to look for a more unmolested starting point than proceeding with jacking up the radiator cap and putting a new truck under that one. Would be far less expensive in the long run.
WEll right down the middle there is a a + cut and it appears that it was streched about 3 inches in the middle. He did not dot that part correct becuase instead of flushing mounting the filler piece he layed it on top and then feathered it with fiberglass filler. Or maybe lead becuase i have already found traces of lead work.
I will get some pictures. Is there way to measure for glass? Be cause i cant find a single local person that can cut glass for chop tops.
Hey XTRMLOW welcome to the greatest source of info on these old trucks around. I would say you have a great start for the project you have in mind. Sounds like it is way over on the darkside as some here will no doubt bring up but it's your truck and as they say you can do what you want with or to it.
Welcome aboard. You have mods to work out but it looks like a good project, never boring. Where are the tailights from? Work fast to get ahead of the blizzards.
