'99 mileage
I am looking at a '99 psd the ad says 180,000 miles and that 1/3 of these miles was the truck being towed,
does the odometer on a 99 count mileage when being towed? I know on my '97 it is digital.
any reason not to tow this truck? it is a 4X4 so I would assume the transfer was in neutral.

I would assume that those are driven miles.. not towed miles.. Never really had such a question. But I know when our jeep is pulled behind our Bluebird RV it does not gain milage.

There isn't a way to place the transfer case in neutral so it's possible the mileage would continue to rack up while being towed. One concern would be for the transmission if it is an automatic. The parts may be spinning without the benefit of the pump to circulate tranny fluid around the case. Hopefully someone else here will know more about how the transmissions are build in the '99 models.
