Trans fluid
How many quarts does it take to fill the trans in my 82 F-250 with a c-6 automatic trans? Also would the Lucas oil additive to stop slipping stop the slipping between gears on my truck, because when it shifts when I accelerate like shifting from 1st to 2nd it will shift fine but when it shifts when I am holding a constant speed it will slip trying to change gears more than normal.

When you pull the pan to change the filter, look at the stuff floating around in the pan. If it has large chunks in the pan, your tranny probably needs rebuilt.
If you are just going to pull the pan and change the filter, then it will take about 4-5 quarts of fluid. If you are going to take the inspection cover off the flywheel area, and drain the torque converter(I recommend this) it will take 13.5 quarts.
