1996 Ranger

Hi, I'm looking at buying a '96 Ranger XL and want to see what you guys think:

1. 65,000 original miles
2. 4X4
3. Automatic
4. A/C
5. Asking price is 7500.00 which is nowhere near the 4500.00 Kelly book $

Truck is pretty clean, no rust. Has no other options. On the test drive, I noticed a "clunk" feel when the truck almost comes to a complete stop and the same "clunk" when taking off from a start, any ideas what this is? Also, the 4 wheel drive seems to work fine except that on a tight turn in high 4, the front tires seem to chirp/grab the pavement, but I think that's normal and not supposed to drive in 4x4 anyways on dry pavement?

Any other things to look out for for this year/model?

Thanks,
Jim
