Conversion too propane ??
..............Has anyone converted their ranger over too propane or LNG ? The prices of the kits plus a tank plus the labor is around $4,000 as far as I can tell , rb

I had an old ranger with the carburated 2.8 that had a forklift LPG conversion on it. It had a 100lb cylinder in the bed that came of a propane powered box van. The motor ran great off the propane and it got very good fuel mileage. I bought it at auction in 2008 and sold it last month. it had a full tank of propane on it and i used it around the farm and it still had about an 1/8 of the propane in it when i sold it. but this is from light use using it to follow tractors and go to lunch. if you scavange around you could probably get a cheap setup depending on the age of the ranger.
