exhaust??

ok guys , i have a 2001 f250 superduty 7.3 powrstroke. is the exhaust that restrictive or is it the stock muffler i hate to buy new exhaust for $350.00-7$00.00 if its just downpipe or muffler, don't plan on racing it, just pulling my 30' travel trailer...

alot of people go with the muffler delete which is just inserting a piece of straight piping where the muffler is

Just go to a 4" set up from turbo to exhaust tip. Let it breath... and yes, yank out that muffler too.

im also thinking of doing the muffler delete, but my exhaust (early 99) also has what looks to be a resonator towards the downpipe. should I also delete it. I haven't seen one on other 7.3's?????

Going to 4in turbo back, for about $350, is a very cheap and effective way of letting your truck exhale. You will be very surprised with the increase in throttle response from just doing this. Like said above if you do the muff delete and doown pipe then go all the way. It will not be much different in price. My .02
