Question 331ci stroker kit...

...I "thought" I was all good with the Eagle cast steel crank kit...

However......after much comparison and research...I'm startin'
to scecod-guess myself...and I hate that!!!

Anybody got any thoughts regarding Eagle vs.Scat cast steel stroker crankshafts?

Ya know...just the 9000 series stuff that will roll-on FAST......

This motor will be goin' in my '56 F100...only about 3250 lbs.
More than likely NO 1320-time planned...at least I'm considering "that" for part of the motor design...

Either solid tappet or hyd. tappet cam... not sure yet on that...

But I DO know this...
---wish list---
-Canfield-style Heads....1.94/1.60 valves.
-587/.587 lift 228* duration @.050.
-1.7 roller rockers.
-short duration & wide lobe seperation cam.
-Original '63-'64 260ci-V8 SBF HI-Rise, Dual-Plane Tri Power (3x2)
w/original Holley's 730cfm TOTAL (265/200/265cfm).
-H-beam rods because best for CLEARANCE issues.
-main girdle AND a stud-girdle on the top end.

-I ain't afraid to install a SOLID FLAT TAPPET cam...

Why on earth would you build a 331 instead of a 347? Unless you want to make less power.

And...i hope you can find the Canfield heads used, because they shut down shop.

Why go through the headaches headbanging ect. contact Jim Woods @ Ford Strokers he offers both scat and eagle balanced rotating assemblys. Check out his short blocks they're worth the money.
