Still looking around for my first truck. Love the info that I find on these F-150 forums so I keep coming back. Anyone give some input on this one? If anyone has a carfax could they post it's history. Decent price for it's mileage? Thanks.

I think it's too much, I paid $14k for my STX in 2005 with a $3k trade. So we will say I paid $17k for the truck and it only had 15k miles on it. Although I think that trucks are prices different throughout the country.
I wouldn't pay that much. Just wondering how the 05 4.6 is as well as any other known problems.
It was born in FL. 1 owner put 20k on it. The 2nd owner put 30k on it in 2 years, took it to TX and it got repo'd. I'm leery of that. It was sold at an auction down here and bought by the current dealer. No wrecks or anything, clean except I'm not liking the repo thing,
The 4.6l is a good engine, I have never had any problems with mine. It is a little low on power for a truck that weighs almost 3 tons. But I tow and plow with it and haven't had any problems.
Thanks for the words........ I like this one. I have a feeling it was beat to hell by the 2nd owner though. 30k in 2 yrs then a repo....
Unfortunately, when a vehicle is going to be reposessed, the "owner" doesent give a
c**p about how its maintained or driven. Any responsible owner(that has hit bad luck) will voluntarily surrender the vehicle to the lienholder in clean condition..as he/she will be ultimately responsible for the difference in what it gets at auction, and whats owed.I always stay away from repos.....
It's a shame. Wish the 1st owner would have hung on to it instead of the 2nd idiot getting it....
I understand, but some folks get in over their heads, and have no clue...I lucked up on the 07,i suspect it was bought originally by someone that does this about every 2 years. It had 36,700 miles on it when I got it...just out of factory warranty.Ive still got to 60,000 miles on the powertrain warranty...Whoever it was,I love him.Got the 07 for about half of an 09,and he put all the stuff on it i was gonna do anyway....Life is good!
Right now there is no selection at all for used trucks it seems. I've been looking everywhere possible. I just want to find something decent. Seems like every used truck has some catch to it.
Definately a good one to pass on I've worked for used car lots and when they come back from detail with loads of black paint underneath see exhaust pipe and and shiney interior parts that were flat black usually says beat to $%^& plus it needs tires right off the bat
