I have a 1973 F250 Highboy. When I get to about 30mph truck will start to vibrate but then level out after getting to higher speed. Will Vibrate again at about 50mph???? I have checked all shafts, front, rear, and divorced. Check tranny fluid, oil...? what else could it be??? The vibration is not in tires. I can tell.
When strange vibrations come about, one can try to isolate the problem by shifting gears to see if this vibration is speed related or engine rpm related.
Where I am going with this is that harmonic balancers can often slip and fail Often the rubber band or insert can deteriorate and cause the balancer to become bad. This can create some odd vibrations.
Are you 100% confident that the shafts are all good and have no dings, dents or mossing weights?
How about shaft phase? Did you take anything apart and not put it back together in phase?
How about the shaft angle itself? Any changes in suspension, like a lift kit or something that might change a u-joint angle?
I have not lifted the truck. I did have one of the shafts rebuilt...no missing washers or welds...ohh i took of the front drive line because a little bent but same vibration happens.
